Welcome to Kitty Kat Rescue, Inc.

Our mission is to place homeless and unwanted cats in safe, loving and forever homes.

Our cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered before adoption, have current vaccinations, be tested for FELV and be ear-mite free.  Since we are a rescue it is impossible for us to do any other testing than what is included above.  We strongly suggest that any cat or kitten adopted from us or any other organization be taken to your local vet and checked out also.  Kitty Kat Rescue will only adopt out cats and kittens that are healthy to our knowledge.  Kitty Kat Rescue will always give a follow-up call within a week after adoption to make sure that all is well with the new pet in it's new home.

                     Iris

Iris is a gorgeous, sweet and playful tabby/tortie mix female.  She is young, probably under 2 years old.  She was part of a TNR project so she has a slight ear tip but she is anything but feral.  She was most likely dumped like many others and when she came to us she had 2 kittens.  She is a just a love and so beautiful.  She is spayed, tested NEG for FELV/FIV and has her current vaccines.

                              Mocha and Marley

Mocha and Marley came to Kitty Kat Rescue after a kind family took them in.  They had lived outside their house all their lives along with the mama cat whom they had been unable to trap.  After a trip to the vet for spay and neuter it was discovered that Marley had an old fracture on his hind leg.  They were put into foster with a wonderful couple who took them to their vet for a second opinion on the fracture.  It was confirmed by x-rays that Marley had a previous fracture that had healed completely the wrong way.  We were told that unless Marley's hind leg was amputated he would be in great pain for the rest of his life.  We decided to go ahead with the surgery, although very expensive, for the good of the kitten (9 months old).  The vet did a wonderful job and with the care his fosters gave him, Marley's leg healed very quickly.  If was now time for Mocha and Marley to find a home.  We put them in the adoption center on a Saturday and decided we would only adopt them out together.  4 hours later Marley and Mocha got their forever home.  Thanks to Companion Animal Clinic in Gold Canyon, Erich and Celest Oakley (Marley and Mocha's fosters) and Petsmart these wonderful creatures were given a second chance.  P.S.  The mama kitty aka Sasha was finally trapped and with months of care and socialization by the same foster couple she was adopted through Kitty Kat Rescue and Petsmart.  She has a great home and the couple that adopted her just love her.  It does go to show that with a lot of love and a lot of patience these kitties can turn out to be the perfect pet for you.

People Saving PetsTM is an exciting campaign that uses positive and uplifting advertising, public relations and community events to educate and engage the public, change perceptions about pet homelessness and increase pet adoptions and spay/neuter surgeries. It is designed to inspire action to save the lives of homeless pets. By highlighting the efforts of national and local animal-welfare partners, the campaign will inspire a broad range of public participation.

With advertising that focuses on the human-pet bond, People Saving Pets will showcase the ways that pets enrich our lives and will provide information and education about the ways to end the tragedy of euthanasia. The campaign encourages people to spread the word about the campaign and its goals. Members of the public can participate in People Saving Pets in a number of ways – from joining as a member, attending local pet-themed events, donating time or money, buying official People Saving Pets merchandise, adopting a pet and spaying/neutering your pet.

Please consider helping out a few days or nights a week.
We desperately need fosters for bottle feeder, kittens and yes, adult cats also.  We can also use kitty litter, dry cat and kitten food and of course cash.  We are a 501(3) so any monetary donation is tax deductible.
